Though Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan may become a strong presidential candidate, currently president Serzh Sargsyan will remain the sole favorite, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia member said.
Dwelling on Tsarukyan’s proposal to offer former foreign minister Vartan Oskanian’s candidacy at the upcoming presidential race, Mkrtich Minasyan said, “I think Armenian people have sound mentality.”
He further stressed the need for other presidential nominees to vie for the second place, even if the opposition decides on a common candidate.
