SETTLEMENT OF KARABAKH PROBLEM NOT EASY TASK, GERMAN DEPUTY CONSIDERS

Yesterday a meeting of the German delegation and members of the Milli Mejlis Standing Committees on Economic Policy, Security and Defense was held, 525 Azeri newspaper reports. When touching upon the Karabakh conflict chairman of the Bundestag Commission for Budget Issues Manfred Karstens stated that it is not easy to solve this problem and the ways for its resolution should be determined precisely. In his turn chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Policy Sattar Safarov stated that 20% of Azerbaijan’s territory is occupied what resulted in million of refugees and forced migrants and that OSCE member-states and other international organizations are pursuing the double standards policy towards the Karabakh conflict. “I am the chairman of the Azeri delegation to the OSCE PA. Every time when the matter concerns the occupation of the Azeri land no state calls Armenia an aggressor. It is inadmissible. Unless the aggressor is called its proper name the conflict will be protracted and innocent people will suffer”, he stated. Chairman of the Bundestag Commission on Trust Walter Scholler said, “The European structures should do much work to make the stability in the South Caucasus long lasting.”
