The returns of the presidential elections held in Armenia February 19 should be recognized invalid. Presidential contender, leader of “National Unification” party Artashes Geghamian told “Liberty” radio station last evening. In his words, accepting the second round would mean agreeing with the votes “arrogated” to Robert Kocharian by the central electoral commission. In the light of the aforementioned, it is inexpedient to speak of support to any of the candidates in the second round, in particular, of that to leader of the People party of Armenia Stepan Demirchian, Geghamian considers. In his opinion, it would mean recognizing the returns of the first round of the elections.
