A NUMBER OF OPPOSITION CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENT TO GIVE THEIR VOTES TO DEMIRCHIAN IN SECOND ROUND

Presidential contender, leader of “National-Democratic Union” Vazgen Manukian intends to give the votes of his electorate (0.89%) to candidate for president, leader of the People party of Armenia Stepan Demirchian (27.7%). As V.Manukian told “Arminfo” agency, the official resolution on the issue will be passed at today’s sitting of the Union board. Candidate for president, head of “Perspective” center for strategic initiatives Aram Karapetian has a similar stand (2.92%). Presidential contender, leader of the Democratic party of Armenia Aram Sargsian (0.46%) has already announced support to Stepan Demirchian in the first round. Presidential candidate, leader of “National Unification” party Artashes Geghamian (17%) has not made up his mind yet. He said that the party final position in the second round of the presidential elections would be determined at a sitting of the party leadership to be held after the final returns of the first round are summed up.
