MEETING OF OPPOSITION PARTY REPRESENTATIVES HELD IN YEREVAN

A meeting of representatives of opposition parties is being held in Yerevan. As leader of the Democratic party of Armenia Aram Sargsian told “Arka” agency, “the opposition considers chairman of the People party of Armenia Stepan Demirchian has won the presidential elections.” “We acknowledge the elections as valid. It’s quite another matter that the returns were falsified in a way that the current authorities are trying to present it as the victory of Robert Kocharian,” – A.Sargsian said. He noted that opposition thereupon demanded that electoral commissions reconsider and recount all votes.
