A rope named Prosperous Armenia has been torn, having been pulled on all sides, a political expert said, commenting on party’s decision not to nominate its leader for president.
“I’d very much like to believe that Gagik Tsarukyan was aware of a political situation his refusal to run for president will trigger. Still I doubt that, as well as the fact that Tsarukyan may be pursuing some long-term goal,” Armen Aghayan told a December 13 news conference.
According to the expert, Tsarukyan broke under the pressure. “It’s hard being a person everybody is trying to win over to one’s side,” the expert said.
“In a year, Prosperous Armenia’s image will be similar to that of Armenian National Congress opposition bloc,” the expert predicted.
