On December 14, office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office conducted monitoring of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan in direction of Kayanavan settlement in Tavush Province of Armenia.
From Armenian positions, the monitoring was led by Field Assistants of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Yevgeny Sharov and Irjie Aberle.
Before the monitoring, the OSCE representatives were briefed on the situation at the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces, the statistics of Azeri ceasefire violations, as well as issues related to sniper activities at the contact line.
Though no incidents were observed during the monitoring, it was held at a certain distance, with Azerbaijani side refusing to cross the Armenian border.
