Lithuania could have urged the international community to actively participate in the solution of the conflict over Nagorno Karabakh, Lithuanian Seimas Speaker Arturas Paulauskas stated at a press conference at the Parliament of Lithuania. It should be noted that Mr. Paulauskas paid an official visit to the South Caucasian states last week. «Only internationalization of the solution of the problem would bear any fruit. Possibly this could be an international mission, international observers. Evidently the two countries are not able to find a proper solution,» the Speaker said, adding that a specific stand may be formed after conferring with Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis. Paulauskas stated at the press conference that the initiative of cooperation with Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia within the “3+3” format with participation of Latvia and Estonia, proposed some time ago, could be promising. “I saw that the project enjoys support. Maybe it will not take place today, however the project is promising,” he said.
