Former Armenian Minister Vartan Oskanian said there can be no intrigue about the meeting with Armenian National Congress (ANC) coordinator Levon Zurabyan.
“As citizens of the Republic of Armenia, MPs and politicians, it’s our right to meet and hold discussion on different issues,” ex-minister Oskanian posted on his Facebook page, commenting on his recent meeting with the ANC member.
He further noted the persecution of MPs and overhearing their conversation as the only conspiracy.
“What has been done is completely inadmissible and illegal. The law enforcement agencies must bring those in charge of recording the conversation to account. It’s obvious that some people mistake the ruling authorities’ interests with those of the state,” the statement reads.
