Heritage rep. says nomination of common candidate split opposition

Nomination of a common presidential candidate split Armenia’s opposition, Heritage party’s parliamentary group leader said.

Dwelling on the party’s upcoming congress, Ruben Hakobyan said negotiations are in progress, with all of the political forces involved.

He further stressed the need for the opposition to maintain its electorate during February polls.

“Heritage leader Raffi Hovannissian possesses the potential to become a common opposition candidate,” the party member said.
