AS OF 4:30 P.M. LOCAL TIME 42.8% CONSTITUENTS PARTICIPATED IN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

According to official data of the central electoral commission of Armenia, 982 128 (42.8%) electors have already voted as of 4:30 p.m., said commission chairman Artak Sahradian. In his words, the citizens of the republic “are active to the same degree.” A.Sahradian also reported that over 50% of voters have already participated in the elections in some of Armenian regions. Thus, in his words, the number of those who has voted makes 51.4% in Armavir region, 55.9% in Syunik, 53.7% in Vayots Dzor, 53.9% in Tavush, 47,3% in Aragatsotn, 45,1% in Gegharkunik, 44.2% in Lori, 43.2% in Kotayk, 38.6% in Shirak, 51.6% in Ararat. Up to now Yerevan constituency has shown the lowest level of participation in the elections: 249 thousand electors have voted there, which is 33.7%. “No rude incidents are registered in the course of the elections until now,” – the commission chairman said. Sahradian also reported that 1667 citizens of the republic have restored their franchises via court.
