ARMENIAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS PROCEED NORMALLY AT INITIAL HOURS, CIS OBSERVATION MISSION HEAD SAID

The presidential elections in Armenia are proceeding normally at initial hours. Chairman of the CIS executive committee, chief of the CIS observation mission Yuri Yarov told journalists today. He noted that the Commonwealth observers had already visited four electoral centers, where the standard procedure was observed. At the same time Y.Yarov noted that the surname of Armenian ambassador to Belarus Suren Harutyunian was absent from the register of voters. In his words, the case cannot be considered as violation, as S.Harutyunian can go to law and vote after the court resolution. “Mission representatives will go to the court with him, which will let become familiar with the legal process,” – Y.Yarov said.
