STABILIZATION IN POST-SOVIET SPACE TO EMANATE FROM KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

For some reason I am sure that stabilization in the Post-Soviet space should emanate exactly from the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, chairman of Russian State Duma committee on international affairs Dmitry Rogozin said at a meeting with Azeri president Heydar Aliyev. The Russian parliamentary expressed confidence that as the domestic political stability strengthened in Russia, it would become a more active participant in the issue. Rogozin considers that the South Caucasus should become a special attention zone for the Russian policy. Moscow cannot “shut eyes” to everything going on in the region, as without solving these problems the wounds of the South Caucasus cannot be healed.
