Presidential candidates given no chance for victory, hopeful says

A presidential hopeful believes ruling authorities have given their potential rivals no chance in the upcoming elections.

“None of current hopefuls came up with a viable scenario of a victory at polls,” Arman Melikyan told a January 15 news conference.

“Heritage leader Raffi Hovannisian once stated that the Armenia of Hovannisian and that of incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan will face off at the polls. None of that is true. The Armenia we live in now is a country where people have no change to bring about change of power through elections,” he stressed.
