Presidential hopeful demands current leader to leave race, threatens strike

Presidential candidate Andrias Ghukasyan addressed a statement to the chair of Central Election Committee Tugran Mukuchyan expressing confidence that the results of presidential election reflected in protocols contradict the actual stance of the majority of voters.

Slamming the situation as pseudo democracy and falsified elections, he demanded for the candidate of the ruling party to be disallowed to run for president.

“I believe that the inclusion of the ruling party’s candidate into the race violates my personal and public rights. My civil duty is to go on a strike for an indefinite term to protect my rights,” Ghukasyan said.
