There are plenty of complaints on Azerbaijan in the European Court of Human Rights, which have not been considered yet. European Court President Lizius Wildhaber stated at a meeting with Azeri parliament chairman Murtuz Aleskerov in Baku. As reported by “Arminfo” agency referring to “Turan,” speaking of Azerbaijan’s commitments to the Council of Europe, the European Court chairman emphasized that the laws passed in Azerbaijan should fit European standards, as well control over their execution should be present. Let us remind that according to a European Court report 123 applications on Azerbaijan were received only within 2002.
