Member of the Academy of Lawyers of Ankara Meteni Aigan can be sentenced to three-year imprisonment. The fact is that when addressing the Academy Council he stated that the Ottoman Empire was eliminating Armenians. He is accused of stirring up hatred and hostility. The legal proceeding were launched due to the suit brought by the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces.
