Armenia’s brandy production up 20,2% in 2012

18 481,4 thousand liters of brandy was produced in Armenia in January-December 2012, with production volume growing 20,2% against the same period in 2011 (15 380,5 thousand liters).

According to the National Statistical Service, 10 068,8 thousand liters of vodka was produced in the same period, production volume increasing by 10,2% against 2011. 5713,7 thousand liters of wine was produced in January-December 2012 against 6 191,5 thousand liters in 2011 (7.7 % decrease).

During the reporting period, beer production totaled 13 668,2 thousand liters, dropping by 7,3% against 2011 output (14 756 thousand liters). Production of champagne dropped by 23,2%, totaling 478,8 thousand liters.

In January-December 2012, production of soft drinks in Armenia decreased by 1,2% to total 45 216,6 thousand liters.
