The rumor about chieftain of gang, which had perpetrated an act of terrorism in the Armenian parliament October 27, 1999, Nairi Hunanian committing suicide is not true. The Armenian ministry of justice press secretary told “Arminfo” agency. In his words, the dissemination of such hearsay is favorable for those, who wishes to destabilize the situation in the country on the eve of the presidential elections. Let us note that Armenian media have denied this news earlier, reporting that Nairi Hunanian defendant was safe and sound and is in “Yerevan-Center” criminal-execution institution of the Armenian ministry of justice. Today relatives of the killed in the act of terrorism addressed a letter to minister of justice of the Republic of Armenia Davit Harutyunian, requesting to grant them an opportunity to make sure that N.Hunanian was alive, as well as to provide “persuasive information about the reasons of protracting the trial.”
