ARF Dashnaktsutyun has not yet discussed the format of participation in Yerevan city council election, due May 5, the party’s parliamentary group leader said.
Armen Rustamyan voiced confidence that the decision will soon be taken. “I deem it correct to run in the election as a common force. That’s more effective,” he said.
Orinats Yerkir parliamentary group member Hovhannes Margaryan expressed readiness to run the city council, with the discussions still ongoing.
Heritage party representative Ruben Hakobyan, in turn, said they have not decided on the candidate yet.
Parliamentary group leader of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Galust Sahakyan said the current mayor Taron Margaryan will top the RPA list.
