PARTICIPANT OF UNREST IN ARTASHAT FEBRUARY 4 ARRESTED

The first person is arrested on the case of the unrest taken place in the course of candidate for Armenian president Aram Karapetian’s electoral meeting in Artashat city February 4. As reported by “Arminfo” agency referring to the Public Television Company of Armenia, 43-year-old resident of Ararat region Grigor Ohanian, who confessed his participation in the disorders, is arrested. Let us remind that in the course of a meeting with Aram Karapetian in Artashat a scuffle took place resulting in knife injury of Armenian parliament deputy, head of Karapetian’s electoral headquarters Hayk Babukhanian, who is in one of Yerevan hospitals at present. A criminal action is brought on the fact on two clauses of the Armenian Criminal Code at the same time. An investigation is being held.
