“UNION OF CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT” MEMBERS CONSIDER PRE-ELECTORAL INCIDENT IN ARTASHAT ORGANIZED BY ARMENIAN MINISTER

Armenian minister for regional government and coordinating operation of infrastructures Hovik Abrahamian has organized the incident taken place at the electoral meeting of presidential candidate Aram Karapetian with residents of Artashat city February 4. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, “Union of Constitutional Right” party statement says. According to the document, the scuffle in Artashat, which resulted in wounding head of the electoral staff of candidate Karapetian – Hayk Babukhanian, was initiated by the sons of the minister and his brother, National Assembly deputy Henrik Abrahamian, as well as the father-in-law of the Artashat current mayor. Earlier a group of 50-100 people led by them tried to hinder the electoral meeting of another presidential candidate – Vazgen Manukian, the statement says. Members of “Union of Constitutional Right” have expressed dissatisfaction with the course of the investigation and the way the law-enforcement bodies tried to portray the incident, who “try to juggle with facts and present it as a provocation by a group of hooligans.”
