PACE RAPPORTEUR ON NAGORNO KARABAKH TO VISIT ARMENIA IN LATE MARCH

Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) rapporteur on Nagorno Karabakh Terry Davis will visit Armenia March 26-28. Head of the PACE Armenian delegation on external affairs Hovhannes Hovhannisian told “Arminfo” agency. The rapporteur also intends to visit Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh. In H.Hovhannisian’s words, the itinerary of T.Davis’ trip will be specified one of these days. Let us note that the rapporteur’s intention to go to Nagorno Karabakh via a third country, that was reported the other day, received an equivocal evaluation in Baku. Representatives of the country official circles say that T.Davis should go to Nagorno Karabakh from Azerbaijan, and if there is an opportunity to go there via Tbilisi, Baku special permission should be available. Upon completion of the visit the rapporteur will present a report on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, which is expected to be discussed at the PACE summer session.
