“TURKS TO FIGHT SIDE BY SIDE TO AZERIS IF NECESSARY,” – TURKISH GENERAL WARNED

Issues of development of bilateral relations in the military sphere and the situation in the South Caucasian region were discussed in the course of the meeting of Azeri defense minister Safar Abiyev and chief of National Security Academy of Turkey, general Kenan Denizi yesterday. As reported by “Arminfo” agency referring to Azeri media, Safar Abiyev familiarized the guest with the military and political situation in the South Caucasian region. “In such a situation some countries use Armenia as a lever to put pressure upon Azerbaijan, thus it is extremely important for Azerbaijan and Turkey to act jointly,” – said Abiyev. In his turn, Kenan Denizi noted that “Turks will fight side by side with Azeris against Armenians.”
