An Armenian-Japanese business forum is being held in Yerevan today. RA Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan addressed a message to the forum participants, RA government’s press service reported. The message says in part, “Let me whole-heartedly welcome you on the occasion of the Armenian-Japanese business forum. I am extremely glad that numerous Japanese delegation including representatives of leading Japanese companies has arrived in Yerevan. The conduction of the forum is the evidence of mutual interest in strengthening trade and economic ties. This event is a positive feedback of my visit to Japan with a purpose to participate in EXPO 2005 exhibition this June. I am convinced that the meeting of the representatives of business circles of both states will promote creation of new possibilities and prospects for strengthening the business ties, attraction of Japanese investments and expansion of trade and economic relations which appear as priority economic and political targets for our government. Honoring the importance of relations with Japan the Armenian government is ready to support events of the kind, which present economic and political benefit for our republic and accord with the South Caucasus-Japan new initiative. I wish the participants fruitful work and hope that these contacts will become permanent showing positive results in the near future.”
