The US has given Turkey a three-day term to clarify attitude towards the military operations being prepared against Iraq. As reported by “Arminfo” agency referring to Turkish media, chairman of the constitutional commission of the Supreme National Assembly of Turkey Burhan Kuzui reported that if the Assembly did not approve a document confirming Turkey’s participation in the presumptive military operations against Iraq by the week-end, it could suggest the idea on “Ankara’s contribution to formation of a Kurdish state” to official Washington. “If this is the case, Turkey will appear as US opponent in the Iraqi issue,” – the Turkish deputy said.
