Armenian Historian Book on Armenian Genocide Published in Turkey

Book of Director of Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia Nikolay Hovhannisyan The Armenian Genocide: Armenocide is published and sold in Turkey. The book presents to Turkish readers the viewpoint of Armenian historian and orientalist on the issue that is a sore one in Turkey, the author noted. The book was translated into Turkish in 2002 and it was issued in Turkey by intelligentsia representative Rageb Zarakogli. In N. Hovhannisyan’s words, he is one of the few people in Turkey, who dare speaking of the Armenian Genocide and the need to recognize it. At the instance of the publisher the author wrote a special preface for the Turkish edition, reported RFE/RL.
