Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margarian denied the reports on his intention to support one of the leaders of “Republic” opposition party Aram Sargsian. Let us note that in the course of his electoral speeches A. Sargsian said that the government leader and the Republican party headed by him intended to give their votes for him and not to the acting president Robert Kocharian. As the prime minister’s statement spread by the Armenian governmental press service says, “on its special session the Republican party passed a clearly grounded resolution to continue the cooperation with Robert Kocharian begun in 1998.”
