PENTAGON ACTIVATES COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN

At the turn of February a delegation of Pentagon high-rank representatives will visit Baku. It will discuss political issues with the Azeri leadership, specifically, the situation around Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act preventing US companies from selling arms to Azerbaijan. As reported by “Arminfo” agency referring to “Infonews,” a second delegation of the US defense department will arrive in Baku in March. Its members will inspect Azeri armed forces for equipping them with latest gear. The Azeri defense ministry pledged to make every effort to maintain the rate of the bilateral cooperation with Pentagon.
