Armenia’s Simon Martirosyan (+94 kg) scored a gold medal at IWF Youth World Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
In conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the head coach Eduard Kizogyan expressed satisfaction with the athletes’ performance, saying that two of them gained entry to 2014 Summer Youth Olympics.
“I am pleased with the results. Martirosyan justified our expectations,” the coach said, noting successful participation in the youth Olympics as their main goal.
The young athletes will participate in 2013 European championships, due September 1-8 in Lithuania.
