A certain group of people is trying to seize control over the Georgian railways. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, director general of Railways of Georgia Ltd. Akaky Chkhaidze said. In his words, the grouping pursues both political and financial ends. He did not specify persons forming part of the grouping, only noting that “they are known to everyone anyway.” Chkhaidze did not rule out that the crash, which occurred in Samtredia Georgian region a few days ago, was a diversion perpetrated by them. “There have not been any wrecks on the railways of Georgia within last year, and this is already the second one this year,” – Chkhaidze said. Let us note that the rail communication between Armenia and Russia passes through the Georgian territory.
