ILHAM ALIYEV APPOINTED PACE VICE CHAIRMAN ON BASIS OF ROTATION

Ilham Aliyev was appointed vice chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on the basis of the principle of rotation. PACE Armenian delegation head, chairman of the parliamentary commission on external affairs Hovhannes Hovhannisian told “Liberty” radio station. In his words, similar offer was also made to the Armenian delegation. But proceeding from the consideration that the convocation term of the current parliament of Armenia expires this May, agreeing does not make sense, the deputy emphasized. “I think that the Armenian delegation head will be elected for the office of one of the vice chairs of PACE on the basis of the rotation in the course of the next session,” – Hovhannes Hovhannisian said.
