President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Yerevan today, on May 13, on an official visit.
Signing of documents on Armenian-Belarusian cooperation is cited as the goal of the visit. Meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsayn is on the agenda on May 13, to be followed by negotiations between the two countries’ state delegations.
The two presidents will further give a joint press conference, with a state dinner due in the evening. Visits to the Armenian Genocide memorial complex and Nuclear Power Plant is also on the agenda, to be followed by participation in the inauguration of Armenian-Belarusian trade center in Yerevan. Lukashenko will later attend the consecration of the newly-constructed St. Hovhannes church in Kotayk province.
