PACE Karabakh Subcommittee to Meet March 15 Next

The report of Lord Russell-Johnston, the head of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh, was adopted on 9 January in Paris, stated Azeri MP, Chair of the Party of Democratic Reforms of Azerbaijan Asim Mollazade. According to him, the report presented by Russell-Johnston, was approved after being discussed at the Subcommittee meeting. «The Armenian delegation wanted to leave out the phrase “autonomy models” from the discussion. Thereupon, serious debates took place and the Subcommittee did not accept Armenian party’s proposal. On the whole, the report proposed by Lord Russell-Johnston was approved,” Mollazade reported. According to him, the report by Russell-Johnston will be heard at the PACE winter session in late January. In Mollazade’s words, the Subcommittee next meeting is scheduled 15 March 2006, reported Trend agency.
