ARMENIAN OPPOSITION PARTIES SUGGESTED ASSISTANCE IN CORRECTING ELECTORAL LISTS

There is much inaccuracy resulting from authority inattention. This was mentioned at the recurrent meeting of representatives of the 16 opposition parties of Armenia forming the Civil Council, Grigor Harutyunian, the chief of the electoral headquarters of candidate for Armenian president Stepan Demirchian, told “Arka” agency. The parties expressed readiness to contribute to local government bodies in correcting the lists. At the same time the headquarters chief noted that unlike the year 1996, the preparation process and the holding of the electoral campaign proceeded rather successfully, to which the country Electoral Code contributed much.
