BAKU “SURPRISED” AT OSCE MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS CONDUCT

Official Baku is “surprised” at the conduct of the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs at the sitting of representatives of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg last week. In the words of the press secretary of the Azeri foreign ministry, as reported by “Mediamax” agency, the Azeri party is most of all indignant over the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs’ decision to be the first among those addressing the hearings of the Karabakh problem. Thereby, Baku considers, the information presented by the mediators appeared to be “one-sided,” and did not let them answer the questions on the concept of the Karabakh conflict settlement and the main directions of the OSCE Minsk group. In the press secretary’s words, the participants of the hearings were surprised also at the fact that the co-chairs left the sitting not waiting for speeches of the personal representatives of the Armenian and Azeri presidents.
