Areximbank-Gazprombank Group CJSC plans to activate customer lending in 2013, increasing the retail portfolio to AMD 20.1 billion.
“Armenian banks view diversification of consumer lending as a risk reduction method, which in turn, intensified market competition,” head of the bank’s retail lending division Armen Hambartsumyan said, adding that Areximbank-Gazprombank Group keeps improving the credit conditions, trying to simplify the procedure for registration and issuance of loans.
In the first quarter of 2013, loans issued to clients totaled AMD 93.9 bln, increasing by AMD 11.4 bln or 14% as compared with the same period of 2012, the bank’s press service reported.
