Armenian coach shares expectations ahead of World Cup qualifier vs. Malta

Armenian squad coach Vardan Minasyan commented on the team’s expectations ahead of a June 7 World Cup qualifier vs. Malta.

According to the coach, the fact that Malta is considered the weakest team in the group doesn’t put Armenia at ease. “Our goal is to gain 3 points at every game to qualify for the World Cup,” he stressed.

As Minasyan noted, today (June 6) Karen Muradyan and Varazdat Aroyan will be facing Island as a part of U-21 Armenia team, to join the national team for Malta match.

According to the coach, the team will be changing strategy for a June 11 game against Denmark.

Yerevan’s Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium will host Armenia vs Malta 2014 World Cup qualifier at 8 pm local time.
