RUSSIAN GAS SUPPLY TO GEORGIA AND ARMENIA RESTORED

The supply of gas from Russia to Georgia and Armenia was resumed. The restoration works of the damaged strip of Mozdok-Tbilisi reserve gas pipeline, through which Russian gas was delivered to Georgia and Armenia after the wreckage of the main, were completed this morning. According to the reports of Russian media, the efficiency of repair works was due to Russian president Vladimir Putin’s yesterday’s commissioning “Gazprom” head to reestablish gas supply to the Caucasus. At present North Caucasus-Transcaucasia main is being repaired. According to the repairmen’s estimates, these works will finish at the end of January. Let us remind that gas supply from Russia to Georgia and Armenia ceased January 17.
