A similar snowfall was registered in Armenia in 1978 last, the State Hydrometeorology Committee of Armenia told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent. 28 years ago the height of the cloak of snow was 1.5 meters. The difference of the current snowfall from previous ones is that it is mainly observed in the Ararat valley. In other parts of the country the precipitations do not exceed the February standard. The snowfall in Yerevan will stop on the night of February 5 and then the temperature will fall 5-10 degrees centigrade. Beginning on February 7 a warming is
expected and the snowfall will resume.
