Armenian Church Damaged by Terrorists to Be Restored in Iraq

The Iraqi government decided to reconstruct the Armenian Church in Mosul that was damaged in a blast in 2004. The decision was taken when head of the Iraqi Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Avag Asadurian addressed the President and Prime Minister with a request for reconstruction. January 16 the Iraqi Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Finance and Reconstruction to allot the essential funds for the reconstruction of the church, reported RFE/RL.
