Karabakh Liberation Organization: «Baku Should Give up Talks and Prepare for War»

The Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) of Azerbaijan is interested for the political and non-governmental organizations operating in the country to claim suspension of peace talks, held to solve the Nagorno Karabakh issue, KLO Chair Akid Nagi said. In his words, «these talks will not have positive outcomes.» In Nagi’s opinion, the Rambouillet meeting of Armenian and Azeri Presidents proved that «settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict by means of peaceful and fair tools is impossible.» «Mediators are engaged in complicating the process and demanding concessions from the Azeri party. In their turn, authorities overlook processes that take place and do not make real steps to liberate the occupied territories. In this case there is no sense to speak of liberation of Karabakh,» he remarked.

The KLO chair said that first of all they demand ceasing the activities of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. Besides, all political and non-governmental organizations operating in the country should join this claim. «We should stop peace talks and prepare to the war. By means protraction of the peace talks Armenia’s positions at the occupied territories strengthen. Liberation of the occupied territories is our duty and waging a war is our right. No one can deprive us of that right,» Nagi said.

In his words, Azerbaijan should prepare for a war. It is also necessary to enhance patriotism in the society, «Azeri people cannot agree to conditions proposed. We are for a war and we believe that the way to Karabakh lies through war. Our goal is for all political and non-governmental organizations unanimously demand ceasing peace talks and preparation to the war. This option can be more effective. Authorities and the international community will see that Azeri people’s intention to struggle for their lands is serious.» Akif Nagi also said that the KLO intends to hold actions to end OSCE MG activities, as well as the peace talks, reported the 525 Baku newspaper.
