February 21 the Pest Central District Court of Hungary held hearings on the second process over Azeri officer Ramil Safarov. During the hearings a suit was filed on Safarov. The judge chairing at the process appealed to Safarov with several questions. After the question were put by the law-defender of the accused and the Prosecutor. At the resolution of the court the next round of hearings will be held in 3 May 2006 and it will take testimonies. Klara Fischer, a Hungarian lawyer, defends Safarov’s rights in the court. Employees of the Azerbaijani embassy also participated in the hearings. The second suit on Safarov was filed in connection with an incident which he had in June 2004 with warders in the isolation cell. Safarov is incriminated in the resistance to the representatives of the authorities and he can be imprisoned for 2 years, as of inexact data. The first round of hearings on the case was held on 17 January 2006. The prosecutor brought a charge against Safarov in Turkish.
