Idea «to Build Wall between Armenia and Azerbaijan» Laughable

The idea «to build a wall between Armenia and Azerbaijan» arouses at least laughter, not to say more. As political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan stated in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, «fights» will take place in the Azeri Parliament in this regard. «I cannot imagine a Turkic builder, who can voluntarily fence himself off from Zangezur, the Goychi (the Lake Sevan) and finally the Irevan khanate. They use these place names, when they speak of Armenia. On the whole the dividing lines exist between us a thousand years, since Turkic tribes came to the region,» he said. The political scientist remarked there is a natural barrier between the countries – the River Kura. «To be unbiased it is necessary to mention that Udins, Talyshs and Lezghins lived on the left bank of the Kura and by no means ancestors of the builders of the Great Turkic Wall,» Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan emphasized.

KLO leader Akif Nagi, known for his over-radical beliefs, put forward the idea of building a wall between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Public figures and Milli Mejlis deputies supported the proposal.
