The units of the armies of Azerbaijan and Georgia defending the common border are brought to the state of high alertness. As reported by “Arminfo” agency referring to “ANS” TV channel, yesterday’s armed attack on one of the frontier posts of Azerbaijan by a group of unknown persons caused it. In response to the frontier guards’ demand to stop, the trespassers opened fire on them. As a result one frontier guard was killed and another was wounded. It is thought that there are wounded people also among those attacking, who hid in a thick forest. At present Azeri and Georgian law-enforcement bodies are engaged in search for the trespassers.
