Today the Nagorno Karabakh army is ready to rebuff any sally of the adversary and to successfully counterattack him. As reported by “Mediamax” agency, NKR defense minister Seyran Ohanian stated it when commenting on the militant statements of official Baku representatives. At the same time the minister emphasized that the army command was not going to underestimate the adversary. In his words, in 2002 attention was paid mainly to enhancement of the security of Nagorno Karabakh frontiers, improvement of the engineering service. Seyran Ohanian noted there had been no serious occurrences on the contact line in 2002 – only the positions of Karabakh forces underwent light weapon fire.
