EU TOOK CORRECT STAND ON TURKEY’S ACCESSION, ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER SAID

Official Yerevan considers that the European Union has taken a correct stand on Turkey’s accession to Europe. Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian told “Arminfo” agency about it. In his words, at the recent Copenhagen summit representatives of the EU member countries clearly evaluated the prospects of Turkey’s accession to the EU. Arranging neighborly relations with the countries of the region is stipulated as one of the demands of official Ankara. Armenia has constantly expressed its readiness in this regard, the minister emphasized. “Yerevan is ready to dialogue with the Turkish new government to establish normal bilateral relations,” – the Armenian foreign department head said.
