According to the decree signed by the president of Armenia, the national security ministry is reorganized into national security service under the Armenian government, and the ministry of internal affairs – into police of the Republic of Armenia under the Armenian government. By the president’s decree, the ex-minister of national security Carlos Petrosian is appointed the director of the national security service, and Haik Harutyunian – the police chief.
