GEORGIA OPPOSES WITHDRAWAL OF RUSSIAN ARMAMENT FROM ITS TERRITORY TO ARMENIA

Although Georgia supposes the opportunity of redeployment of Russian group of troops personnel in Transcaucasia, it opposes the Russian military equipment and armament removal from its territory to Armenia. Gela Bezhuashvili, the Georgian deputy minister of defense, told “Mediamax” agency about it, commenting on the intention of Moscow to withdraw part of Russian group of troops from Georgia to Armenia. The deputy minister explained the position of Georgia saying, “it may cause additional tension between Yerevan and Baku.” “Georgia will find itself in a tickler concerning Azerbaijan, if the military equipment is moved from its territory to Armenia”-Bezhuashvili said.
