Armenians occupy the fifth place on the number of population in Kaliningrad region – they make 0.8% of the total number, i.e. 7.5 thousand. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, according to the information possessed by BNS agency, Russians prevail in the region – approximately 743 thousand (78% of the total number). They are followed by Byelorussians and Ukrainians. These make some 73 thousand (7.7% of the population) and 70 thousand (7.4%) respectively. Lithuanians are the fourth – about 18 thousand. Azeris are also among the ten largest communities of the region – there are 2800 of them.
